It is indeed different from most flowers, and it also different in the world of lilies. The red vibrant colors are stunning against the green background, and the light is falling so lovely on the flower.

Your photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details in both the petals and the impressive stamens, and the exposure is very good.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the diagonal placement of the lily within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
