This is a very inviting scene. Good control of the whites and well positioned. I had the pleasure of visiting VT in November. Some great places to shoot.

Why thank you so much Charles for going back and having a look at this one. You couldn't be more correct about the shooting opportunities in VT. I know wherever I point my camera here at my place I find a gorgeous image. What part of VT did you visit? I'm up in the NEK (Norh-East Kingdom).

We were staying in the Brownsville area, but drove up to Moss Glen Falls one day when there was a light snow and the falls were still frozen. I had been there a number of years ago when we stayed at near Stowe. We also drove around a number of other areas in central VT. We love Sugarbush cheeses so visited there.
-
Oh VT cheeses are the best! Vermont is pretty special....but you did see some of the nicest spots.

This beautiful scene was definitely worth braving the cold to photograph it! The sparkly white snow in front of the blue sky is lovely! Well composed with the road leading the eye into the picture.

I handled the cold much better than my camera did Barbara...lol But I DID manage to get a number of really lovely photos before my camera decided it was just to cold to be out and about photographing the landscape. Do appreciate you having a look at this one and thanks so much for the fine review you've given it.

What a gorgeous shot you have here, we need more bright cheery winter days like this.Such a beautiful blue sky,a brilliant background for the snowy trees.I can almost picture the deer walking down your drive, how nice it would have been if one had been there when you took your photo. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Oh this review SC was a real treat when I turned my computer on this morning. I do have many images of the deer that hang around my place here. Unfortunately, most of them are taken through my windows. They are very reluctant subjects I'm afraid. I do appreciate you having a look at my newest piece here and thank you so much for sharing a gold star w/ it. Very pleased you enjoyed it.

I look upon this piece and I am reminded of Robert Frost "The Road Less Taken". This image has that kind of strength to evoke many different feelings - depending on the viewer.
The compositional balance of the piece is exquisite. You have a sharp and discerning eye.
The White Balance and color saturation are at their best in this take. NO NEED FOR A CPL - it can't improve the color of this shot.
Focus is so very sharp I feel as though I can count the individual snow flakes.
I like this one, and I'm glad you chose this instead of a flower - I'm sure your flower buddies will forgive this minor transgression ... OMP

Oh boy OMP.....I went to sleep last night smiling about this review! There was a lot here to be pleased by.....the 'Robert Frost' bit....the 'sharp and discerning eye'....the declaration re: focus.....of course, the gold star...but what made me smile the most was the 'NO NEED FOR A CPL' LOL You are just a sweetheart OMP and I positively LOVE this review. Thank you so very much. It makes me very happy when YOU review one of my pieces!

Well, it kind of reminds me of a pic out of a story book. I can see myself or my parents going down this road, yelling at each other. LOL. Nice white and blue sky contrast; the trees have a brown tint which adds nicely to the piece; good lighting and depth add to the realness; like how it looks like a little tunnel at the end and disappears. Bet it would be fun going down this road when there is not too much snow.

The ONLY time it is really awful is during 'mud season' Swimmer. Typically in April. The snow all melts and the road thaws out and it is a MILE of MUD for several weeks. OMG it is a muddy, mucky, disgusting mess then. Can't take the chains off the 4-wheeler until AFTER mud season is over. My house and gardens are way down the other end here (what you call the 'tunnel) btw. Thank you so much for having a look...for your very interesting review lol and, of course, for the gold star! You're a sweetie swimmer.
