A very nice looking shot. The cropping is excellent and the vertical presentation is a must. I like the sharp detail, especially hand held from a moving train. Great colors too.

    Thanks Mike.

Interesting shot. The tracks on the right (the smaller ones) look so different than the head on shot. I guess that is the glint of Metal with the sun hitting that's I'd making the track look yellow. I like the elongated vertical orientation to this piece. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Thanks Pam. Possibly they were just newer ties??

You handled a very tricky situation with great visual skill. Shooting from any type of moving means of conveyance is a challenge.
I would say from this example you have a solid grip on this technique - well done.

Overall camera technique is fine. A much faster shutter speed would have cleaned up the little bit of blur on the cross ties.

Cropping is just enough to focus the viewers eyes on the tracks as they disappear into infinity.

Color, contrast and lighting are all well inside acceptable limits.

Nice shot ... B-)) Bob

Thank you very much. Your comment on the cross ties is duly noted - but I wanted to convey the feeling of speed.

You certainly accomplished that goal. Disregard the note on shutter speed - Bob
