The vertical format and the b/w makes for a good portrait,of course it helps if you have a pretty model,and she looks demure in this,and like the use of the flower as well,nice photo...brian

a very good entry to this contest, I always feel that
portraits work so well in black and white especially
as your model is so pretty,
the black and white brings out I feel more feeling and emotion, you have captured the flawless
skin and bright eyes really
well beautiful lighting with no harsh shadows, a soft and delicate feel to this which is enhanced by the rose she is holding.
nice catch light in the eyes. tight framing works
well to draw the eye to the focal point ( the eyes)
nice work here. good luck in the contest. I think this will do really well.

Stunning photo and stunning subject. Love the emphasis on the eyes and hair, beautiful lighting. I feel like this could be an amazing color photo as well, which is why I'm not sure it stands out in the black and white photography theme, though it is an amazing yearbook-like photo in itself. Love the subtle details like the ring and necklace. Great photo!
