Love the moonlit setting over the ocean. Your choice of colours blend beautifully creating a serene yet mystifying mood to your painting. The ripples in the water look very realistic and the cloud formation adds a peaceful presence to the scene. Thanks for sharing. cheers mel

Oh boy do I love all the different shades of blues in your new piece Suzanne. I live nowhere near the ocean so I always really enjoy it when you paint something by the ocean. This is a beautiful entrant for the Moonlight Contest.
The way you've used the moonlight in this one is stunning. It not only lights up that lovely sky but glistens across the water....just beautiful. I love the bit of land jutting out into the water at right frame....and the very gentle way the water laps up on shore. Shading and shadow work is top notch here but it IS the color that I can hardly look away from.
I just hate saying cyber six....HATE IT... but I just used my last gold star before I came to your piece or it would have definitely gotten it. I am sorry Suzanne. I love this one....and hope it does really well for you in the contest.

Beautiful composition & framing created with very skilful brushwork, beautiful choice, blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life.

There is something very intriguing about the sea at night. You have painted a very lovely seascape at night. The moon is well placed. The water and waves are nicely detailed. Love the way you did the moonlight reflections on the water. Very nice and enjoyable artwork.
