Meg, I always learn something new from you when you post. You post bravely...turning this into pencil sketch worked beautifully and you did it with subtlety. .....and "less is more".
This feels cold and I'm sure glad not to be there!
Top marks.

This looks like my town, except we have had almost no snow this year. I like the broad leading lines at the base of your photo, which draws the viewer in. Picture very nicely illustrates a hazardous drive. Good use of moderate mixed media.

Mary Eileen,
A beautiful picture of this snow covered street during a snow storm with a car lights on making it's way slowly down the street towards you. The falling snow visible against the red brick frontage of the biscuit factory. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Nice contrast and exposure. I hate driving in the snow but I do enjoy playing in it and taking snowy pictures. I've never actually taken a snowy street photo so I thank you for sharing.

This is an interesting representation, especially for its uniquely creative snow effect. Indeed, the composition projects a compelling atmosphere of chills and isolation to epitomize the trials of winter. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

The mixed media in this shot makes it stand out and appear to be beautiful instead of hazardous. Fantastic work in creating that effect. I do not enjoy driving in the snow but this photo makes it look rather nice and even pretty. A wonderful entry for the contest.
Creative and artistic.

I miss snow but not driving in it.
Great entry for the contest of man vs Nature. You have a nice POV, fine white balance control and the stop action showing the car and falling snow are fab.
Like the pencil filter giving it a vintage drawing like look.
Nicely done. good luck :)

This is a good entry for the contest. One of man's primary battles with nature. We survived the ice ages by wearing animal hides that can with stand freezing temperatures. Now, we have synthetic stuff that helps. One winter in Indianapolis, the temperatures and wind caused a wind chill effect of -45 F. It lasted for several days. People died walking dogs and going out for a smoke. Water poured from a container froze befor it hit the ground. Falls from the prolonged icy ground continued to hurt and kill some others. I live in California now I'm a place where I might see snow in a light dusting every 10-20 years. Nice composition and framing. Sharp focus. Nice splash of color from the buildings. Otherwise, would also be a good entry to the Black and White photo contest. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image
