This is so moving. I just love it so much. Those water drops in mid air are just spectacular. And the flag as the backdrop is just beautiful! I can see every detail in the icicles. What an amazing shot and a great entry for the contest! Good luck, sweet friend! I'm in awe of your work and enjoy it very much!

A beautiful stop action picture of these icicles with droplets falling from their tips frozen mid air by your fast exposure with the Stars & Stripes waving in the breeze in the misty background. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Thank you. I suppose I could have cropped part of the flag off on the left, but I'm not sure having the icicle close to the left edge would have worked very well. I could play around with it and see if that would have been workable.

cool capture..wink..the angle of the shot of these icicles with star spangle flapping in the background is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Awesome artistic rendering , I love photographs of icicles , you have captured these very well with perfect timing to get the drops from each one! I practice catching the drops when there are icicles here too! The hint of the American Flag really adds to this composition. It's very interesting and beautiful to view!
