Flowers are a great subject to photo, you did a good job with this photo here and indeed I think you did do it justice, although there is a certain realism and energy in real flowers that when photographed shows a realism that fake ones can't. For example there is a life cycle of real flowers that is not in fake ( obviously) but the point is that there is a contrast of colors that shows that cycle and conveys something else in the photo that fake flowers does not possess

All I am suggesting is that you let the flower get to maturity where the colors are not all so similar, this would/will give it more dimension and keep the person who is looking at keeping looking at it.

As this is a fake flower, i mad sure the colours had dimension. There are darker yellows and lighter yellows and shading to enhance the photo. Im really not sure how I could get my photo to where you have said. Do you have any pointers for me? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Yes, you did a fine job of shooting this fake flower and trying to make it seem real. It has a well placed focal point, is framed well and the vignette helps to give it contrast and depth. Well done.

So true to all that you say. I have tulips in pink and had a bad time with pink. Now this one in yellow with a darker frame helps to see this better. I can tell the adjustments are made. Its great! Thanks for this one.

An intricately produced fake with a great pistil. I like the colors and the tight framing is eye catching. A well composed image that should do well in the contest. Good luck in the voting.

Yes, in my opinion you did it justice, the hibiscus is such a beautiful flower and one that will not grow here,this is well focused, shows nice detail in all 5 of the large petals and in the anthers, well exposed to reveal the pale yellow color, I had to really look closely and without knowing this was fake, I would have assumed this was real. Very well presented!
