Hi and thanks for sharing this beautiful artwork that brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. I love the scene you have created as much as I love the poem you wrote to accompany your work. together they blend perfectly. the detail in the little girls face gives her a soft and gentle feel as she purses her little lips with her eyes closed and hand poised in a relaxed way.. as if she is in seventh heaven so to speak.. totally at one with the little lamb.. Her well rendered bonnet gives her a cute appearance and I like the little stands of hair that pop out over her cheek.. along with her fringe. they create a nice frame around her rounded facial features.. The lovely warm coat with its stylish collar , nicely buttoned over her chest, adds to her little girl appearance.. Excellent shading used to create folds and creases as it hugs around her tiny frame.. The little lamb has the same look of bliss on its face.. its eyes are closed and its mouth is pursed onto the child's lips.. the lamb appears to be smiling as he kisses her.. oh so appealing with such a loving emotion emanating from within. His body is being held firmly by the lady on the left.. An elderly soul by the appearance of her hand under the lambs body.. The little lamb's legs hang limply as if he is totally trusting this old soul to hold him securely while he devotes every attention to the little girl. The detail in the lambs body is excellent. the lines rendered give the impression of its wooly coat especially up around his neck area.. The old lady's clothing apparel contrasts nicely with the lamb's coat.. and balances the picture well A taller stance on the left, the lamb stretching between the two characters and the shorter little girl.. This gives a good feeling of depth of field and impacts on the height differences .. The plain background is an excellent choice as it really makes the three images pop well. The shading and the use of differing pencil strokes on the clothing and on the lamb, help to give a 3 dimensional feeling to each of them.
This is a delicate and heart rendering piece that truly brings to light the joy of sharing love.. thanks for both your poem and your artwork. they compliment each other perfectly. An absolute pleasure to review. cheers mel

What a lovely drawing and accompanying poem. Love the composition of the drawing and the detail on the lamb. If any improvement is needed i think it would be to the lamb adding a little more depth. I think the poem adds to is so well. Thanks for sharing.

This is very well presented and I liked the poem too! Very adorable piece , the little lamb giving the girl a kiss! The details , light and shaded areas, are masterfully applied here, I love the girls jacket and hood the way her hair comes across her cheek, her closed eyes! The sweet little lamb being held by the man his hand supporting the lambs chest, his open jacket and the wrinkles in his pants , all coming together and just make me say WOW! I am very impressed ! This is a very sweet artwork and probable win for the contest. I like how the lamb's and the little girl's lips line up perfectly. The man holding the lamb adds mystery to the drawing as you can't see what he looks like. Nicely done. This is drawn with excellent proportions and shading. Good luck in the contest.
