This is really cool.
Almost looks like a geyser.
I love that it in black and white.
Great job finding such a unique subject to capture.
A pleasure to view. Thanks for sharing. ;o)

    what is uniqe is te camera setting

    The water jet would be unique for me, never seen one. Still gotta learn to use my camera. Have no idea how to use manual settings.

A fine stop action shot that freezes the water drops in mid air. I like the composition and wish you the very best of luck in the contest.

Art in black and white. The wildness of the water paired with the stark black of the trees presents a unique photo that teases they eyes. The water is well centered and does give the appearance of falling from above.

    many thanks Nancy;
    not b&w: just taken against the sunlight;
    cropping only

    Interesting. It was B&W to my eyes, but no matter how the photo was taken, it is wonderful. You are welcome.

This is a really cool shot of this fountain and the captured water is spectacular. I love it in black and white, I think it makes the droplets stand out really well. This is a wonderful spray and the capture is great in its entirety. Clarity and focus are very crisp and I wish you the best in the competition.
A pleasure to view and review.

    Oh I'm sorry, it looks great!

This makes a nice monochrome shot. I really like the splashing detail near to the lake. I would have thought at this speed the drops would have been more noticeable- but perhaps simply too fast a flow of water. Nice composition and good interesting shot.

    thanks a lot for your comments and top rating;
    on my screen, the water drops are very sharp

You did a good job at capturing the drops from the water spray however I am having a hard time making out the background which is too blurry.

    thanks for your strange comments: for such pics, the bg MUST be blurry: a sharp bg would spoil the main subject: the sharp water drops

hi and thanks for sharing this awesome water spout captured so well by your camera and your sharp eye.. fabulous explosion of millions of tiny water droplets shooting into the atmosphere with some serious kind of force behind them. Thanks for the notes telling the speed used to capture this water defying gravity spectacle.. Each droplet looks like a shower of infinite snow flakes creating a magical effect on the mind's eye. its cylindrical shape around the pipe from which it shoots adds great depth to the scene and one wonders if I stood right in the centre would there be least force and less droplets. love the dark background used to enhance the jet and its amazing outcome of water travelling upwards. It is a wonder some one isn't having fun playing around this spectacular burst of energy. Love the inclusion of the twisted branches of the trees forming a nice frame around this display.. Gives a different form of texture to the scene and compliments the roundness of the droplets nicely. great contrasting effect.. thanks for sharing this unique photo.. which has been expertly captured, with fabulous exposure, spot on lighting and excellent focus.. If I might say, it has been a blast to review.. cheers mel

Great contest entry. It almost looks like there is an angel with wings shooting water from them. The black and white was a good choice for this one. Nice details in the water droplets. Good luck in the contest.

Interesting shot. Even with that shutter speed the actions isn't totally frozen. The black and white works for this shot. The background isn't helping you Well seen and well shot.
