A very sad story and knowing this whilst drawing must have been difficult at times but hopefully the final product will help her mum grieve. The picture is beautiful as are all your portraits. I especially love the hint of colour added to the head dress - very poignant. Very nicely done.

The portrait catches the child beautifully. The use of black, white and grey accented with colored flowers gives you a sense of the trial and tribulations that the child is facing yet there is hope in her face. It is a portrait that her mother will cherish.

Nice local color on her head, good use grey scale.. as well as black and white for contrast, portrait shows emotion of subject matter. Well drawn, with shading and interesting profile of girl. Good work.

A lovely and moving piece as described in your narrative of this sweet young girl sadly battling cancer at such a young age, drawn with great detail and accuracy. The proportions are good and the facial features intricately portraying her expression. The B&W colours contrast well with one another of her dress and hair/B/G, and a nice addition to top the piece off is the chain of flowers carefully drawn around her head, with subtle pinks and greens showing the flowers stems and petals. A lovely piece overall, best of luck in the competition! :)
