I think your title is cute :) I would have been excited to see this guy too! You did a pretty nice job getting his markings to stand out and a good view of his face. I like how he is looking directly at you.

Oh my .....awesome shot and I like that he's looking right into your lens. I like the expression captured on his face and those big eyes that only Owl's have. Nicely framed and well composed shot. I enjoyed reading your artists notes and I like the storytelling with your image. I think you might have Chromatic aberration, also known as "purple fringing", in the tree branches can appear around objects, especially in high-contrast situations but in Light Room CC under lens corrections you can check remove chromatic aberration and it will help with this problem. A good capture and thanks for sharing!

This is lovely. The lighting evokes a solitary lonely mood. You did a great job of capturing the texture on the tree limbs and the owl. I would have been thrilled to see him live.

Thank you. I was so excited to see him, I'm surprised my husband didn't swerve off the road when I screamed "stop, there's an owl" lol

Oh my goodness what an awesome and lucky capture! I would be so thrilled to get the opportunity to photograph an owl in nature like this! He shows well and is just beautiful! I love this very natural composition, he's looking right at you but allowed his photo to be captured! I love it!

Thank you so much! This is the first time I've ever seen an owl up close in the wild so I was ecstatic that it sat long enough to take his picture :)

You were very lucky! I saw one with a huge wing span and he absolutely did not let me get his photo!

What an amazing capture! I love that the owl seems to be looking right into the viewers eyes. The monochromatic feel and the large tree truck gives weight to your piece and grounds it very nicely. Beautiful!
