I like the gradation of the monochromatic colors of the sand. Turning the piece really created a pleasing perspective and wonderful texture. This nice entry for this contest. Best wishes for placement.

Very well photographed with good clear focus, natural color tones I love the ripples in the sand and the way you have presented this, it's a work of nature it's simple yet effective. This reminds us to always pay attention to the beauty that surrounds us!

This is quite the natural abstract that you have created here, Fred. I like it. Good job rotating it. I do keep wanting it to rotate back with the lightness in the top! LOL. But I think you have made this more interesting.

Nature has so many artistic ways of moving around our world. It is sometimes overwhelming to separate some of those works or art from the massive scenes that we have in front of us. But if we just stop to look...we see things such as this. Thank you for sharing it!

    thanks a lot Becky for your great comments;
    I rotated it to make it less obvious at first sight

    From a distance it almost appears to be multiple lines of jet exhaust reaching into the clouds.... I like it.

Great entry for the contest. I love all the interesting patterns left in the sand by the receding tide. I live on the coast and love to see the varied patterns created like this. Excellent lighting and focus showing a crisp image. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

A nice shot that gains an abstract quality by being inverted. The pattern in the sand is attractive and perspective is refreshing. Best of luck in the contest.

Fred,
An interesting picture of the Sands at low tide showing us in detail the ripples made in the surface by the action of the moving water. Turning it around 180 degrees makes me dizzy! but I can see well why you did so. Beautiful & interesting composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
