What a lovely and remarkable painting. The resemblance is spot on. The soft, pink and neutral background tone is so pretty. i like how you captured the eyes of Debbie and Carry. I grew up in the midst of the Fisher, Taylor, Burton tabloids. This represents a happier time before Elizabeth Taylor.

Your art work is stunning and beautiful.

What an incredibly beautiful portrait painting of mother and daughter. The resemblance to a young Debbie Reynolds is amazing. Incredible expression and absolutely gorgeous work.
Carrie Fisher is adorable too. I love the small pink heart on her bracelet. A wonderful memory of two iconic actressses. Really a magnificent painting.

HI Cleo, This is stunning! There is NO mistake that this is Debbie Reynolds... all the features were captured to perfection! From Debbie's hair to facial expressions you absolutely nailed the image! I don't know what Carrie looked like as an infant, but if you nailed Debbie's appearance I have no doubt you captured Carrie's! Extraordinary Job! :o) Helvi

a great picture indeed. really a loving image of two great talents. both now gone but never forgotten. has your magical touch in the way you make it both joyful and dreamlike. the expression on the mothers face, is delightful and truly reflective of her newborn. i like the position of the two figures and the way you have left some space around the top left. sort of gives a spiritual twist to this movie star portrait.

Beautiful portrait of Debbie and Carrie, mother and Daughter, such a tragic end to their memorable life. Boy do we date our selves. Nicely done with the softness of the pastels colors. I did find the pink on Carrie's bracelet a bit bright and kept drawing my eye :).

So good to have you back!

Thank you very much for your comments and your input. I will try to turn the pink perl down. What about the white perl on Debbie's neckless?
reply by Snopaw on 08-Apr-2018
I thought it was fine, just the link was brighter than the other subdued tones :)

Thank you for the clarification. I will mix white to the pink that should soften it. :o)

Wow this picture amazes me, your use of colors and soft blending captures the faces and expressions beautifully! It is a neat way to showcase these past stars as well and seems to be a modern depiction!

Cleo, Cleo, Cleo!! This is one of your Best paintings this year!
If you just posted this with no information, most of us would know Exactly who this mother daughter duo is.
You have truly out done yourself here. Facial features are superb and look exactly like Debbie and Carry.
Beautiful, emotive and oh so bitter sweet.

Oh, I am envious. I would have loved to see it on Broadway. I did only see the movie version, but I have sung the song on stage. Now I am singing it when I clean house. It makes washing dishes and vacuuming the floor almost fun to do. :o)

Hahaha.. it was amazing..she had a huge umbrella and flew over the audience...then they flew kites..the pigeon scene was superb.
    Loved it.
