By making the picture black and white, and the center of attention blue, you have created a wonderful picture which grabs the viewers attention right away. This is a beautiful shot, and a marvelous creation.

Hi there. This black and whit photo with the selective color of blue is absolutely perfect for this contest. The colors of this blue jay is beautiful. He seems to looking for some food from you. I get why you had the heading what am I blue but I would think something of where's my food or watch ma got for me. But your title is good for this contest.

Nice lighting and very sharp. You have lots of depth which is great. Contrast is used accurately.

Very nice of you to share with us.

I think he thought he could get some food from you? Your photo is nicely composed, sharp and has good exposure. Like the contrast between the colour of the bird and the black and white background. Well done and good luck!

I think this is a lovely example of a photo with one selective color, and I also think you have pictured this pretty bird really well. I especially like the pose, and also how well it is standing out from the nicely softened background.

Your focus is spot on and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the bird. I also think the exposure is perfect.

I like the square format you have cropped the photo into, and the bird has got a very good placement within the frame. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A very beautiful bird. I absolutely love blue jays. My mom loved them. She used to draw them all the time. I used to hunt all over for statues of blue jays to give her. She was the most wonderful lady I ever knew. Anyway your picture brings back all those wonderful memories. Very nice in the selective color and actually a perfect choice. I wish you all the best in the contest. A very good chance to win.

Great entry for the contest. I like the unusual view of this beautiful bird showing his intricate markings and colours of his feathers as he perches on the branch. Nice patterns made by the background black and white twigs and branches. Very good lighting and focus showing a lovely crisp image. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

This is a great subject for selective coloring! The blue of his feathers looks very nice against he grey tones. You captured excellent detail of the markings and his face.
