This is a fantastic capture of the mouth. Love the bright yellow color in contrast with the brown wings. Great details on the eyes and legs. Terrific lighting bouncing off the leaf. good presentation.

Fred, this is a fine example of a true macro with the soft edges and sharp focus on the head antenna of the butterfly.
Great diagonal placement, sharp focus, crisp details and great colors.

My favorite part of you excellent photo is the fuzzy portion of the body because at a distance, you simply don't see that. The butterflies eyes are perfectly focused, and the uncluttered background really makes the insect prominent.

I've always loved submitting and viewing macro photography here and your shot of this butterfly is one of the reasons why. The angle of the shot beautifully displays this butterfly. We not only get to see it s facial features but t the leg and and wing structure to. Very NIce shot! :o) Helvi

This is a really good macro shot Fred, and I especially like the all soft background, and that no feet or antennas are cut off. Your focus is also spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details, and the exposure is perfect.

The way you have cropped the photo works so well and the proboscis has got a perfect placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.
