As I love this photo, my favorite part would have to be the trees! They blend perfectly with the building and the stones to tell the story of the age and times of the landscape!! You have done a great job with the adjustments and capturing the far distance! You have done a wonderful job with this photo and I thank you for sharing!!!

A good perspective of the church and graveyard with the town in the distance. An winter sky with the tall stark tree adding interest and contrast in your image. A good composition. Very well photographed with a good depth of field. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

Very nicely done .i.
Feel like I am in day s of king Arthur. It has a lot of appeal. That's true in the alignment of your subjec the uses of wide u
Open vast neighborhood. Yet it has all its seclusion drawn up in the shadow of it.

I love old churches and cemeteries. The stone work on this one is vintage and creates a strong nostalgic feeling in me. I love the history of England.

I like how you have framed this scene. The depth and the view into the background stand out well. The stones on the church and the texture of the roof are both very attractive too.

Nik,
A beautiful view towards Heysham framed by the church on the left & the bare branched tree on the right & in the foreground the peaceful graveyard beside the church with grave stones erect & others that are tilting at an angle over some
very ancient graves. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Excellent choice of subject in diminishing perspective.
Greater depth created by its vanishing viewpoint.
Subtle earth tones--almost monochromatic.
Subdued illumination.
Slight overcast.
Looooooooong DOF!

Thanks!

Nice view of the church yard and city in the distance. Good color tones in this shot. Without knowing what was possible, if I had a choice I would prefer less sky and more of the church yard and cemetery. The shadows on the wall are very nice. There is a good sense of environment in this shot. Well done.

You really got it all in this photo. A lovely old church, head stones, a village in the background and a great looking tree. I like that it is without leaves, to keep an open view to the background.

Your photo is nice and sharp and it is such and well defined details both in the church and the trees. The exposure is of course spot on.

The format and framing is very good, and the composition is strong with a good flow and balance. I really like this photo and think it is really well taken, and with an excellent DOF.
