Oh me too! As a young girl I always thought they were the perfect beautiful female. You did a wonderful job of creating this portrait and your color choices give it such a nostalgic feel. I expect it will be a winner!

Nicely drawn. You have well captured the look and feel of the old Gibson Girl images. The background works to help her stand out. The highlights and side lighting bring out the details well. The fashions are very much of the period. The sepia toning is what we would expect in and old photo/drawing even though that would not have been the case in the original images. Well executed.

An exceptionally well drawn rendition of one of the Gibson girls as you mention in your narrative here - the use of shading and attention to the intricate details throughout give it a photographic look as this lady poses eloquently from the side, a shy grin on her face drawn with brilliant detail and her expression capturing the mood of the piece nicely. The period dress and hairstyle is splendidly and flawlessly drawn and the effects you have created with use of the texture and shades of the graphite give it a 3D feel and show the depth to the piece brilliantly. Superb composition and overall a pleasure to see, drawn in this old fashioned style - great work, well done and best of luck in the polls! :)
