I love the misty background in this shot of the Gorse bush with the raindrops clinging to its prickles, Susan. I like the angle you used for this. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely clear image of the raindrops. Very nice composition. Suzanne

The misty day enhancing your photography so beautifully. Good light handling and a good perspective on this most interest hedgerow with the mist in the background with water drops and adding good texture. Nice work and thanks for sharing!

Yes there are lots of gorse growing throughout the British Isles. When in bloom they are gorgeous. Your nice and natural looking image is well composed sharp and has good exposure! Well done

I love the rainy mist in this photograph as well as the droplets clinging to the wire. I enjoyed your artist notes and would love to see a shot of them in bloom.

Very interesting shrub, thank you also for the informative notes! Well photographed in the low light misty situation, good job capturing all of the water drops, well focused, clear to view , nice detail in the individual branches, the various earthy green tones show well even in this lighting. Your description of this shrub when in bloom sounds wonderful and I hope that you will post a photo of it when it is in all its glory full of blossoms! Well presented and interesting to view!

    Galia,
    Thank you.
    It was taken in THICK FOG with dark pine trees on the opposing hillside.

I've got my snow and you've got your rain. Maybe we can make a deal? I like the oppressive look of the atmosphere and the dark green of the wet leaves but not so much the fence wires.

    Mike,
    Thanks a million for your review on the raindrops clinging to the Gorse & the not so beautiful fence, put there to keep the sheep off the road.

They are definitely something I have never seen in the U.S. and how very pretty. Wonderful job at getting the little drops on the fense and shrubs. I like the background as well where it has the fog look. Great work!

very good and interesting narrative; I thought they were just very common small pine trees;
good focus on the rain droplets;
very impressive dark sky;

Verdant overtone!
Misty backdrop adds a dramatic touch to this scene.
Compact framing.
Subtle illumination.
Sharply focused.
Refreshing drops clinging to the wire fence.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
