Beautiful shadowing and composition. Would never have suspected that it was snow. Glad it was with you and not me. You did an awesome job with this, thanks for sharing. Susan

The explanation of the photo gives a person a good deal more understanding of what they are looking at. The appearance is almost surreal, like a white carpet on an irregular surface. Unique and enthralling.

    You are very welcome.

the photo is too dark and to small to see if this is really snow or sand and the lighted area on the center just distracts

good luck with the contest and thanks for sharing

An interesting shot that captures the smooth graceful lines of the snow very well. It is nicely composed with a fine abstract look. Best of luck in the contest.

yes it is very hard, have to have the camera at the right angle and set for the right light. really liked this image.

It looks so desolate and pristine...like a sand dunes scene created with snow. I love the long shadows that accentuate the soft rolling snow drifts and evoke a strong sense of solitude. Very peaceful to view.

Looks like a lunar surface with its rolling terrain.
Controlled illumination with no blown out spots.
An artistic rendition. Monochromatic colors. Excellent details & features. Impressive setting & textures. Thanks for sharing...
