Excellent close up, Deborah, of this impressive flower in your garden and interesting notes accompanying this. The softened background works very well. Lighting and focus very good showing a lovely crisp image - fabulous detail in the markings. Very good composition. Suzanne

Very interesting flower....i've never seen that. And I didn't even notice the little bug at first until I made picture bigger :) Nice composition, focus is great you can make out every little yellow petal. The green background is a perfect backdrop.....thanks for sharing!

Basket flower is correct as it does look like a flower in a basket. I like that the focus it exceptional with a muted background. Each of the petals are visible in the photo like hair on a head. Very well photographed.

This is such an interesting flower. It reminds me a bit of a 'sticker' flower that we have. I have a photo of one showing the very bad, cactus like tips on the large leaves.
But this 'basket' is so fascinating. Isn't is amazing how many ideas 'man' has gleaned from what they see in nature...the basket for instance. And I am reminded of a few 'hair styles' I've seen like this one as well. :)
Your capture and framing have created a beautiful composition for your viewer. Your depth of field is rich in color and softness with no other images interfering with this single flower. It needs the entire stage with as much as it has to show.

That's quite a shape. Looks like a brown and yellow pineapple with pimples; good colors; love the complementing green and yellow; the brown jumps out nicely; good focus; looks like a beehive in a way. You come up with some nice ones. Take care.
