Deborah,,
A beautiful picture of this most interesting looking Armenian Basket Flower with the visiting green Spider, exploring the thistle like top-knot. The basket portion has a passing look of a pine cone. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Ooh, this is cool, Deb. Love the combo of the bracts and flower. Another one could look neat as a progressive growth collage. Beautifully shot so the viewer can appreciate every aspect of this amazing bloom's color and textures. Well done!

Took a few shots to get everything I wanted to show nice and clear Ed so thank you so much for the wonderful review you've given it. Oh and I definitely agree that this would make another marvelous 'progressive-type' piece this coming season. Warmed up here and snow is melting BIG TIME!! Oh hallelujah!

    Yeah!

Decided on my new camera finally. Brain dead from all the research. It will be a Panasonic LUMIX ZS70.

I really like this flower. The basket portion creates such a rough texture against the spider leg type petals on the blossom. The calyx is a lovely shade of green.

Such a nice one BB. Yellow Hardhat huh? I used to wear one when I was an instructor in the Army training troops in Carpentry and Masonry. In fact I had the same yellow tuft on top. Imagine that. Great image BB. I hope you are doing well. Is it time for Spring cleaning in the garden? Can I hold the light? If the road is still a mud pit forget it. I am a fair weather light holder and farmer. Great pix BB ~ BB

LOL bet you looked just darling w/ that tuft of yellow on top of your head BB! The mud is drying up and snow IS melting but garden beds are still covered. Damn but I am hoping to see at least part of one of them by the end of this week. Always happy when you check out one of my new pieces BB. Thank you for giving this guy such a fine one.
