A good entry into the Movement in Water Contest.
A beautiful seashore scene with the thrashing of waves and so beautiful how you created the white caps. Nice readable storytelling with your art work....I like that we get a view of the sand as well. Your colors are natural with good brush strokes and blending and shading of color. Your play with light and shadows creates depth and interest and brings this scene to life. A creative and talented art work. Thanks for sharing!

Nicely createdimage of the ocean wave crashing onto shore. Good color in the water with various shades of blue and green. Nice job with the foam and white caps on the water. You can feel the surge and motion of the waves. There is something about the center of the wave between where it is starting to break at the bottom and the full foam at the top that doesn't feel right. The curl of the wave just doesn't feel correct. Nicely seen and well composed.

Thank you very much for your encouraging and critical review. I appreciate that you looked closely at my painting. There is indeed something below the hight point of the wave, but it is hidden from our eyes. There is a sharp lava rock w3hich is hiddwn by the surge rolling back. This rock has caused the wave to go straight up. It will be fall down like a waterfall in a moment. :o)

This is so well done that I thought it was a photo when I looked at the thumb nail. Especially the whites on the wave is done well, and also the translucent look which so typical for waves like this when the light is shining through them. The way the white waves hit the sand looks so realistic.

Lovely colors and a perfect use of highlights, and of course the smoothness and the accuracy of your brush work.

It is a fine balance in the composition with the diagonal leading line of the wave, and also the format and framing is perfect. Really lovely, and so well done. I wish you luck with the contest.

This water looks so realistic and inviting! I like the how you framed the angle of the wave and created a curving path of the sand to lead the eyes into the distance. This almost looks like a photograph!

Wow, great job.
This is something that I would love to be able to do with a brush in hand on canvas.
It looks so real with such depth. The waves look to be about 2-3 feet tall.
You have great talent.
A pleasure to view, thanks for sharing.

Love how you showed the translucency of the wave. Both the water and foam were beautifully done in my opinion. Looks like you have quite a big wave coming in. Your skills creating this caught my attention. From the shadows to the light you created a beautiful image. Good Luck I The Contest! :o) Helvi

Wow! Beautiful digital painting, the wave looks so realistic! I can see the deep water to the left, the white froth from the motion, the wave as it crashes onto the shore and the degrees of depth in the water in the various positions in this image. Very well created and presented! Best to you in the contest!

Absolutely a stunning wave and an excellent perspective of one. Amazing how real the wave appears. The detail, color, lighting, sand and
splash are all remarkable.
So real you can feel and hear the water by your outstanding portrayal of art. Such a pleasure to view this fantastic creation. Love it.

This is an amazing work. Your digital painting of the light through the water is incredible. I just cannot imagine how you do this! Your clarity through the waves, especially showing the sand washing through the breaking wave, is simply amazing. How long does a work such as this take?

I like your choice for your overall frame. Showing that bit of beach at the upper right...but the entire focus being on the action of the wave. Textures are perfect..colors are perfect and again..your knowledge of how to paint light and shadows into water is to be admired by any artist using any medium. Beautiful work. I'm sorry I do not have a six. Even that seems trite compared to the strength of this work. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and encouraging color. A painting as this is made with a lot of patience and a zillion of brush strokes. I started this for another contest several months ago but missed the deadline. I almost missed the contest- deadline again. I finished it yesterday just before I posted it. I don't really know how many hours I needed. I did not count the time. :o)
