Most artists paint in series. This is interesting with its autumnal trees of vivid hue, with the black asphalt looking rocky hill giving contrast, to save it being too one sided. The foliage echoed in the distance.

Thank you Renate-Bertodi for your five star vote, your comments and the time you took looking through my gallery.

This reminds me of the South Hills of Idaho with their Aspens and appealing rock formations. That so much of an explanation was given regarding this painting makes is all the more special. Plainly, the artist figured it out. The colors of the Aspen are correct and that is where your eyes first notice the entire picture. So well done. Thank you for sharing both the work and the effort involved.

This is really lovely and I have to say you certainly put a lot of time and effort into this wonderful creation. It has great interest and great color harmony. It is well balanced and a pleasure to view. I love you extensive description of how you created this piece.
I have to say I like to finish what I start before moving onto a new piece. I also have a bad habit of using many many brushes and I do not like cleaning my brush all the time as I like to see the movement in the acrylic paint as the colors blend.
This was fun to view and I look forward to seeing the rest of your collection.

Thank you very much for your six star vote and your comments Monica. I do not have the discipline needed to finish a painting before I start another. Since I work in oils, it works for me as it takes almost forever, like 2 to 3 weeks sometimes for titanium white to dry. I have paintings in the drawing stage, in the underpainting stage, in the 'oh my god can I save this one' stage, in the finished stage waiting to be framed stage. Moving on, your vote and comments are truly appreciated.

A very nice image full of color and life. You have captured the scene beautifully. Your time and hard work have been rewarded. Nice depth and perspective. Wonderful mix of colors with the fall trees standing out against the sky and darker background. A virtual 6 from me.

Fantabulous realistic creation.
Apt for the contest theme.
Palpable impasto strokes--especially the foliage!

The mountains managed to peek to be noticed--notwithstanding the vibrant yellow orange leaves!
Solid mountain peak against the contrasting soft fleeting clouds as backdrop.
Potential voters' choice.

Thanks & good luck!

Wonderful initial impression! I love the golden tones in the trees! Beautiful detail throughout this scene! Very well arranged, the golden trees give depth . I love the distant golden trees too, the mountain stands proudly in the back, it hasn't snowed yet, awesome textures and details in the land leading back to the mountain and the sky is beautiful blue tones with the fluffy white clouds! This is beautiful work and was truly a pleasure to view! Best to you in the contest!

I'm impressed with this oil painting! I feel connected with this anonymous artist! I like to use bright colors, too. And different techniques, including paint knifes. And the most important, because I love mountains, I created this contest. Thank you for entering! Good luck and hope to know more about you soon. Lucas.

Well Lucas, I will contact you after the contest. This is a first for me to have this type of comment. It is very nice that my work is so appreciated. And, thank you for the five star vote.

You should be pleased. It is always good to put away pieces that trouble us and come back to them. Your efforts paid off here. You have good depth through your diminishing perspective on the background foliage. Your trees in the foreground are taller than your background elements, thereby adding to the depth.
