Monet most definitely knew how to put color and textures together Fred. Congratulations on this one doing so well in the Flower Contest.

Marvelous reflections and am still so very envious you've seen his gardens....and really happy you share some of your images of them.

OH my this is such a lovely garden of color.
The flowers on their own are beautiful. then to get that double whammie with the reflection pond.
You have such beauty in your backyard.
This has been a pleasure to view, thanks for sharing.

Super cool capture this. You can see Monet sitting at his easel painting in the sunlight.
I can see the inspiration and subtle moods here. I love the fiery reds and yellows against the green.
Great colors, superb focus and lighting.
Nicely shot with good cropping and perspective.

This is a photo with strong visual impact because of all the strong and vibrant colors, but I also think this photo is all about reflections. You have captured them so well. I wish my Rhododendron were as big as these.

Your photo is nice and sharp with clear details, and it is nothing wrong with the exposure either.

I like the format you have cropped the photo into, and I also think it is a good balance in the composition. A lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with a very good DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Hi Supergold thank you for sharing this most stunning photo of the Monet's garden . I am sorry I can't send you six stars for the scenery here is exquisite and your beautifully angled picture serves it well. The rich tone of the vibrant red rhododendrons captives my eyes and urges me to travel through the garden to see what other beauty lies before me. Such splendor all nestled into the bank with splashes of yellow and deeper red hues that blend together forming the most stunning view. Even the little splash of white blooms brings a lovely contrast against the bright green luscious grasses that form a border along the water's edge. There is a cheeky little pink bloom showing itself in the midst of the green foliage.. and provides its own special delight.. The calm blanket of water houses its lily pads nicely and the most spectacular reflection becomes the focal point in the foreground.. that burst of magnificence takes the breath away. Red and yellow sensations that seem to dance upon the water's surface provide their very own captivating glory in this scene... the green reflections from the foliage offers great textural value and has a soothing effect on the mind's eye. Monet must surely find inspiration to paint when he sits by the water's edge taking in this extraordinary view. Your photo has perfect exposure and lighting and the scene is beautifully balanced, drawing the eye into every section of his joyous garden setting. Even the little silhouetted foliage on the left in the foreground has its own value in your photo. There is a feeling of perfect harmony and grace emanating from within. thank you for sharing Supergold. it has been a truly splendid joy to review. cheers mel

What a perfect setting for your entry into the contest .
You have all the components for this outstanding composition . I believe it's the darks on the shoreline that push your piece over the line as well as the reflections .
The focus and clarity are amazing .
It's a very cool piece and the best of luck in the contest .

A remarkable scene that is reminiscent of the famous water lilies. The colors are rich and luxuriant and the composition has that Monet look.

Hi Super, There's something about water and reflections that always catches your attention. These flowers by the lily pond look beautiful onshore and in the water, painting a very lovely image. Very pretty and a joy to view. Love the colors! :o) Helvi
