When I saw this sketch/drawing of yours, I immediately thought of the one I drew. If you get a chance, go see my portfolio and go back to MAY 14, 2015...which is exactly three years from the date you posted yours-MAY 14, 2018. That in itself is interesting that we both posted it on 14 May. Because mine means so much to me, I can relate that yours means a lot to you too. Your grandson with your hands and mine is a son with his father's hands. It does show so much faith. You can just feel it coming out towards you {the viewer) as your hands are folded with his on top of yours AND not to mention his eyes closed. Really nicely done. Let me know what you think of mine. I would love to know your opinion. When someone says they wish me the best of luck, I always say, "It is not good luck but good faith!" Thanks for sharing. It is a perfect entry for the Faith contest.

Wow, that?s crazy. I got the idea originally from seeing a photo from a friend. So I had a picture of my grandson resting on his daddy?s lap so I thought I could use that and draw my arms and hands that way she had in the photo. I had to erase so many times and that?s why I used pencil crayon to blacken the background to hide all my erases. I almost gave up with it but my husband told me to keep trying. I stopped drawing for a few days than on the 10th which was Mother?s Day in 2009 the day my mom died I decided to try to finish it. It took me a long time but I did it. This means a lot to me in so many ways.

This is a tender scene about faith for the present and the future. Your details and shading are very well executed. The many shades of gray symbolizes that not everything in life can be viewed in black or white. The clasped hands demonstrate how prayer is the refuge from all issues life creates.

Such a wonderful and creative drawing and concept for the faith contest. I love the little boy with head bowing and hands on an older and wiser person's hands. It tells a story and is well executed. Good luck in the contest.

This is precious on so many levels, the drawing itself is very well detailed, the precious baby boy with your hands wrapped around him in prayer, shows your faith, and your love Your hopes for his healthy life, his strength and that God watches over him as he grows. This has a powerful impact , a beautiful show of faith and you have presented it beautifully!
