My mom passed 9 years ago in sept. I know how you feel. I imagine her happy all the time. I know watches over her family.

Very nice drawing. The smile is a bit subtle but it's a nice drawing of a beautiful lady

This story hurts. It makes me sad. I felt sad t see your mother loved you. My mother never loved me. This has always been a dream of mine, that they day she died, she died born again with the Lord. And she did! I will see her again and you will see your Mama also! Great memory for you and now I am happy to share this day with you! Its past, but Mama's love will stay forever inside us!

a pleasant sketch of your mother although the red lips perhaps could have been left out although i understand what you were trying to achieve. Your structure is good as is you lovely endearing narrative

Wow I am so sorry about your mom's passing, especially her passing on that specific day. I think this is a beautiful tribute for your mother. You did a wonderful job with the details and have represented her well. I like how you added that touch of color to add more interest to the portrait. Wonderful job and this is a great way to keep your mother's memory alive in your heart and mind. :)

Nice entry for the contest, but the facial expression of the portrait is a bit distracting, it does not look like a mother with love, but of some one very hungry

thanks for sharing

Thank you. Not sure what you mean by someone very hungry.

Bless you for remembering your mother on Mother's Day even though she is no longer living. The white and gray treatment is very appealing, and the best features of this drawing are her eyebrows and eyes because they contain so much life. The pink lips (just a tiny too large for her pretty face) draw everyone's attention at first and then we get to enjoy the entire picture,

What a lovely way to remember your mother! What a great person she must have been. I like the black white with the red. Her eyes are very nice. Thank you for sharing!

A beautiful picture. I am guessing by how much you love her, even now, that she is as lovely in her soul as she was in her face. This is clearly a work of love.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know my mom is my world besides my own family. She would be very proud of that drawing of her. It is very lovely and she has a caring, and loving look in her eyes. You have done a lovely job. I like how her lips are a light pink. I feel peace when I look at your work. Thank you so much for sharing!! Good luck in the contest!! :D

This is a drawing of my mom when she was very young but I only had one picture of her young and it was hard to see. This is actually how I see her looking down at us only. The picture itself has very little resemblance to my mom as I remember her. It is kind of similar to when she was younger. My mom was always so loving and caring. She had 7 kids. She would hav3 had 10 but she miscarried three times. She always wanted a big family because she grew up as an orphan and lived in foster homes. Her mother dropped her on a stoop at the orphanage when she was three. Her family was never found. Thank you so much for your review.

OMG! What a story, she sounds like an amazing, strong and sweet lady. I believe that she is with the ones she lost to miscarriage. It's a very hard thing to go through.. I'm very thankful for my mom as well, she's been through a lot. We never were really close when I was younger (which I regret a lot) but we are very close now. Thank you for sharing your story. It really is a beautiful drawing... :)

I like the way you captured your mom all in white except for her bright and lovely smile. It is a great tribute to your mom. The angle that you drew this from is interesting as you appear to be looking up in praise at your mother. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.
