Excellent close up, Susan, showing the raindrops clinging to the leaves of your Box plant with the greedy grub eating the leaf. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely crisp image. Very good composition. Suzanne

    Suzanne,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the raindrops on the Box plus the white grub munching away at the tender leaf tip...I later looked but could not find it..but I did find plenty of snail eggs.

Very well photographed with a nice surprise to find the large and small rain drops on the beautiful leaves......good details in your image. I like your sphere presentation. Taken in beautiful natural light with good play with light and shadows. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

That is indeed a large rain drop! It's very cool and acts like a magnifier showing closer details on the leaf.
Great find and capture Susan.
Like the full frame green of the leaves with the two water drops.
;)

    Sandra,
Thanks a million for your great & complementary review on the raindrops on the Box at my front door. Did you notice the unidentified white grub at the tip of the branch under the top leaf.

Yes...but did not know it was a grub as I never seen one before. I avoid dirt, flowers and bugs!

    Sandra,
I only noticed it as I was about to post it on FAR. I went out to see if I could find & identify it but it had moved off.

Love your creative presentation on this really lovely shot. That rain drop is spectacular! The lighting and color control are fantastic. Nothing better than a fresh rain and the effects on our beautiful plants.

The water beads from the rain givecthis such a fresh and crisp feel. You made good use of the natural light and the light and shadows provide good depth to the image.

nice capture of the water drop, but there is no center of interest, neither a story telling in this post and this is why I gave you a low rate

still, a lovely capture
thanks for sharing

I love your title! It's perfect ! Well photographed with good sharp focus, the image is clear to view, the rain droplets are crystal clear and they give this box plant such a fresh, clear appearance. Your exposure is well handled, the green tones show naturally.well composed and a pleasure to view! The white grub seems to like it too!

You have to take a long look before you see the crystal ball in the center of the photo. I like how you did that. the photo is nicely shot with detail in the leaves and water drops.
