Excellent capture of a macro shot of a poppy flower. The center is full of detail and interesting patterns. The black star shape framing the center gives this photo an abstract feel. Love the bold orange color on the edges.

You really captured the fabulous details in the center of this poppy. The sun shaped pattern on the emerging seed pod reminds me of crocheted doilies. The pollen on the stamens create a ruffled like ring around the seed pod.

I have just one word: WOW. What a close up! Love the colors, and the detail of the photo. The focus could not be clearer. Until you read the artist explanation, you have no idea what flower it is, but you know it is a flower of some sort. The use of the macro succeeded in producing the exact effect that the photographer wanted.
