This turned out really well! You have done an awesome job of getting the shapes of the wings to look so good. The color combinations and design of their mixtures is attractive too and fitting for a butterfly.

A beautiful picture of the imaginary Butterfly that might be a Blue Morpho Butterfly flying in the evening with the setting sun colouring the sky above it while hi-lighting the plants it's flying over. Created with your artist's eye for composition & knowledge of colours & the nerve to try new ways of doing things to create a beautiful image.

Lovely choice of colours and great technique - evokes memories of creating butterflies print paintings as a child. I think a little more white or light at the top background would have made him stand out more. Perhaps highlight painting after the straws would work. Well done.

I really like this. The texture creates the feel of slag glass from the depression era. Even your colors remind me of carnival glass. It is a lovely entry to this contest.

Wonderful initial impact! This is just gorgeous, it reminds me of fine stained glass work! The butterfly is fabulous in the deep blue , purple and black tones, the background blues and pinks are perfect to showcase the butterfly, the two green plants are perfectly placed at the bottom corners of the wings! Just beautiful work here!
