Love this! It is a painting...for someone who is looking to get out their paints and canvas....this is perfect! Even for a class...it is perfect!

You have clarity of subjects;defined textures yet rich in shading and color blending which add a bit of softness...perfect for a paintbrush or digital brush. Can't leave those out these days.. :)

Your light and shadows bring this to life....no flatness here. And I can't forget the bit of reflection on the 'fuzzy' parts. Controlled..yet 'feelable' . I know that isn't a word because spell correct has been in a battle with me to change it! LOL! But that's what I mean...and it's my word..right?! I suppose touchable is more valid. ha!

Your framing is artistic and has created a 'framer' for a gorgeous photo on anyone's wall in any decor.

Glad to see you Deborah... what is that old James Bond song...'Never say die...' Now I will be singing that in my head all evening. xoxo B

LOL got such a laugh out of you fighting w/ your spell correct Becky....and to tell you the truth 'feelable' is quite descriptive.....so the hell w/ auto-correct. This is such a wonderful review....made me smile from beginning to end...as did your very excellent rating. You are a sweetheart for checking this one out Bec and being so generous w/ it. Thank you for all for it...sincerely.

Gorgeous close-up of this beautiful flower. The exquisite detail is fantastic! Gorgeous coloring and lighting. The stamen to pop! I love the freckled bottom of the petals and their deep looking veins. Really beautiful!

This is a beautiful shot! You capture the "fleshiness" of the petals and such detail in the stamens. There are so many edible flowers, but I think I prefer to look at them.

lol I always try them when I hear they're edible Bill but think I'm w/ you on preferring to SEE them rather than EAT them. So so nice to find you at the end of a review for one of my pieces. Have you been well?? Survived winter I see?? Anyway, I do really appreciate the gold star you shared w/ this guy. Thank you so much.

This is a perfect macro capture. The photo is sharp through. The light is used efficiently . The shadows of pistil and stamen on the petals are interesting. The colors look natural and are emphasized by the small spots of dark background. The petals show well defined textures and markings. The photo is well framed. I like the diagonal presentation an the low location of the flower center especially.

Oh you are just a doll dear Cleo for giving this one just a wonderful review and most extra special rating. Used my favorite flashlight the evening I took this shot and I believe you saw everything I did when I was photographing it. Thank you so much for having a look and for being so generous w/ your review of it. Oh and btw- planted your seeds last week!! Gave them their own little spot at the end of the PEONY bed and marked it 'Cleo's Bed' lol so YOU are now famous in my gardens!

A gorgeous central composition of this yellow Daylily. Since your focus is so sharp it draws the eye into your photography. Beautiful light with spot on focus and wonderful details on the petals and stamen of this beautiful flower. Nice is your play with light and shadows. I have missed your posts and you. Always enjoy reading your artist notes. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

This macro reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe flower painting. You have captured the thickness of the petals, the wonderful red color of the pollen pods and the lovely green throat with its red brown speckles. The lighting is beautiful.

When I first read the name I was thinking Hercules. Beautiful lily. Wonderful bright yellow. The red looks like little lady bugs crawling. The green is interesting. It kind of pulls me in. Good background making it stand out. Nice focus. Missed your flowers. Take care.

Very welcome. Looks like you have a great garden and a wonderful knack for taking photos. Keep dry up there and I'll do the same. Pretty dark here right now.

Very nice shot with good color and details. I like the golden tones in the flower. The shadows are a bit distracting, but I know why the are there. The center of the flower is well captured.

That's interesting that you find them distracting Charles as they were part of what I wanted to include in the image. Aw well...one man's junk is another man's treasure...lol Do appreciate you checking out my new piece regardless and thank you for the very fine review you've given it.
