This is a great photograph of the Roseate Spoonbill. The focus and lighting is excellent, showing off the detail in this birds feathers. It's interesting that the background a rosey hint to it also. Very nice job!

Spot on focus, well controlled exposure , natural colors and tones , I love the pink and cream tones in this birds feathers, nice clear detail all the way through, good eye contact, good detail in head and that spoon bill, well composed with a complimentary background tone, well presented!

For some reason I think the scaled look of their heads are pretty cute! They are so unusual looking and you captured some excellent detail of this one's features. The feathers look nice too.

LOL, I do too, but not the prettiest heads in the bird realm :) Thanks so much Grace.

That is such an odd looking bird. I don't even know how you know what it's called and where do you find these fine creatures. Love the angle and the up close framing. It's an overall interesting photograph that is well shot.

So are common here... and Sange is a treasure trove of Bird and wetlands information. I learned all the names of the birds we shoot. Thank you so very much for this review Karen.

Love it. Oh my goodness this is so pretty. So sharp, clear, focused. The eye is so sharp and so wide eyed. Love the colours of your background.
The spoonbill is awesome and you clearly captured yourself a 6*.
Perfect framing. Natural and pretty colours. Not overdone which just adds to the perfection of your capture.
Thanks for sharing. Well deserved 6

It's a distinctly 'Archosaurian' head and it points out their ancient evolutionary ancestry rather nicely! : )
That's an interesting photo of an impressive species of bird,Eileen!

Perfectly pink and simply a perfect photo! The bird's spoon bill makes the photo composition a bit of a challenge. You succeeded! This would have been such a great entry for portraits if animals are allowed. Maybe you have another pose. A great shot!

I agree. Their wrinkly heads always remind me of a buzzard but the rest of the bird is quite pretty. I think their spoon shaped bills are unique and the rosy shades in their feather's are very attractive...especially in a rookery.
