I have found that (just like wood storks and vultures) if you can't get too close to them you don't see the downside of the head. A very nice shot with fine colors and a beautiful eye.

we can get quite close at the gardens... one of the upsides of shooting in captivity. Wish I could see more in the wild though. Thanks Mike
