Great pastel, it looks just like Yellowstone and depicts winter wonderfully. It makes me want to try pastels. I see no room for improvement.

Having just gotten into the summer weather I'm not quite ready to go back to winter again yet but I must say this is truly gorgeous! The misty snow on the mountain and the perfectly frosted trees are lovely. The billowing clouds and sky complete a great piece. Excellent job with the pastels. Thank you!

This is a lovely moody winter scene. Very subtle tones and colours. Not too white so that we get not emotion yet white enough to give us the cold feeling of snow. Nice feeling of movement also. Well done and good luck.

I start to shiver, just looking at this. It looks very cold. The ragged mountains seem covered with ice and the valley dreams beneath a thick snow cover. Even the creek is frozen over. The limited colors emphasize the wintry feel. The painting has a beautiful perspective; our eyes see far, but there is blowing, obscuring parts of the valley with whirling snow-devils.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the soft muted texture and overall peacefulness of this pastel piece. The sky is stunning and I really like the shading on the mountain. Great work!

Yes, this says cold to me. It has the feel of deep cold, when the wind just cuts through you no matter how many layers you have on.
That kind of frozen eyelid cold.
Nice job on this with the subtle tones and composition.

Oh, I can see my breath! The cold beauty of this artwork is both amazing and delightful. The sharp peaks remind me of the Rockies in parts of Colorado and Idaho. It is wonderful rendition of a snowy valley locked in winter. So very beautiful.

Nice story telling of what a winter can be like in this local. Excellent capture of what cold is like and one can almost feel the strong wind blowing right through ones coat,
Color palette screams cold and the blowing snow suggests wind.

very cool! I like how you have created a watercolor looking drawing. I love the flow of this piece. The mountains look very rugged and the trees look amazing!! The path leading to somewhere in the fog. So cool and very well done. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest! :D
