Deborah,
A beautiful picture of these Spanish Bluebells glowing blue in the sunlight bringing the blue sky to earth & spring to your long snow covered & dormant garden. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
We have a problem with these taking over from our native Bluebells.

How nice of you Susan to go back and have a look at these guys....then to give them such a wonderful review. Thank you so much. I am lucky here as far as invasive species go.....the brutally cold winter temperatures keep many blossoms that would spread easily from doing so....these guys for example.

The most coveted shade of blue for any gardener.... You know that of course. And you have photographed it to just 'rub it in' that you have that shade of blue... not really. You are not that type of gardener... but one who shares her knowledge, her photos and her time with other gardeners.

This is a well taken photo. And as much as I would like to comment on the saturation being a bit much.... I just love it! so that's that... I love it!

Thank you for sharing.

LOL...not even a little Becky....rubbing it in I mean. I have never considered the color blue one of my favorite colors....until I started growing flowers that is. So few truly blue flowers as I know you know. I think I grow them all now...lol and I've spread them out throughout my gardens but THESE little guys are the first to blossom each season so they're kinda special. Anyway, you are a sweetheart for taking the time to check them out....and love that YOU love the image. Thank you so much dear friend for the excellent rating. Oh and not the first time you've had to shake your finger at me for pushing the color a bit....lol I admit I did here.....that lovely lovely blue is so soft.....anyway, you know what I mean.

They are beautiful. The shades of blue caught my eyes, telling me that spring definitely came to your garden. The flowers are well focused and emphasized by the tall framing, The blue flowers and the green grass in the background look like an invitation to a stroll through your garden.

Gorgeous colors! The focus is great and I really find the soft background pleasing to the eye. I like the position of the flowers in the frame, creative and interesting. Great work!

It's a beautiful piece as wall as the framing and composition .
The mad dash is also killing me with my the vegetables in my garden .. it's a question of who coming up first ?
Hollyhocks could also be a race ...if you know what I'm saying !
I believe I'm going to go with ...Scilla Hispanics .. It's because of the French Blood running through veins or possibly the French Vanilla creamer in my coffee .
The piece is quite outstanding .
Thanks for shooting ..

lol the hot French blood vs the cool French Vanilla creamer John....lol That was a great line doll. Hollyhocks will be a while still......usually the last 1/3 of the season here in my gardens...especially since the seeds you sent make them a first year flower.(planted them in the 'Shed Bed btw so I can enjoy them when I'm stacking firewood ) They'll be earlier next season I'm sure. Always so pleased to have you review one of my pieces and hope you know how much I appreciate the very generous rating you gave this one Thank you Mr. TBI...a whole bunch!

The 'siberia' makes a lot more sense than the 'hispanica' Sean since Siberia was where they were first noted. Have no idea why the 'hispanica' was added to their botanical name. Thank you so much for having a look and for the 'good show' Always love having you review one of my pieces.

Nice informative notes...

Wow! It's so rare for us here to incorporate blue blooms in our landscaping scheme as sometimes the blue plumbago is out of stock!

This looks fantabulously cool.
A breathe of soothing colored bell shaped florets!
Subtle illumination.

Have you tried capturing them with a flashlight at night?!?

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

You bet I have Dick....lol I believe I've photographed every single flower in my gardens w/ my trusty flashlight. Blue btw, is the least represented color in my gardens as well.....these guys are the first of only perhaps a half dozen true blue flowers to blossom each season at my place. Thank you for the really fine review too. Do appreciate i.

These are so beautifully blue and lovely to view. They really are a magnificent color that has a soothing effect. The blue is so rich and vibrant and each individual flower is beautifully detailed and clear. One of my favorite color to see in a flower,
This is really a striking and interesting bloom. They remind me of salvias only prettier.
Wonderful capture.
