I always find flowers with this inverted bell shape to be very difficult for little -ol me to photograph well. I love Foxglove and grow quite a bit of it. But I can never seem to get the look I want - as yet.

I see a carefully composed and crafted floral capture.

Delicate detail is in evidence from bottom to top.

This flower makes and interesting subject.

The image is well captured with good placement of subject in frame.

It is well focused, the image is clear, well exposed with vivid colors.

The DOF shallow with some detail in the background. Just enough for a soft bokeh that enhances the composition.

Well done ... B-)) Bob

I know just what you mean w/ Foxglove OMP. I photograph them several different ways- from slightly above and to the side so their wonderful shape can be appreciated and also from a sitting down perspective so inside the little 'glove' can be appreciated to. Then, of course, I also photograph them just for fun...lol and THOSE sometimes turn out to be the best images of all.

Always so happy when YOU review one of my pieces so thank you for having a look at these guys and for the thoroughly descriptive review you've given them. You are a peach!

We've talked before Fred about how few true blue flowers there actually are. These little guys are my favorite blue spring blossoms and I appreciate the very fine review you've given them. Thank you so much.

A fine and generous shot this!
I can smell the fragrance from here.
They look like can can dancers with blue ruffle shirts.
The stunning color, subdued lighting and perfect depth of field packs a punch.
Well done!

Perfect review Trajan! They smell wonderful and DO look just like little dancers.....so you have described them perfectly. Thank you for a really delightful review....and for the shiny gold star you shared w/ my little blue dancers. I do really appreciate both very much.

Very beautiful!!! Nice contrast with the green. I can see that there is a little yellow flower in the background. I love all the different shades of blue too. Great job!!!

Lovely shot of these beautiful Bluebells - that's what I've always known them to be so thank you for your informative notes Deborah. When I was little I used to live near a hill that was always covered in Bluebells in May and we used to cycle there to pick bunches for our Mums - kids can't do this now as the Bluebells are protected. Excellent lighting and focus showing great detail in the markings of the flowers. Lovely clear image. Great composition. Suzanne

Oh I bet a hill covered in these was just magical Suzanne. My little grouping of them grows slightly every season and I happily give them all the room they want. Glad you enjoyed my notes and thank you so much for the really lovely review. Always happy to find you've reviewed one of my pieces.

An interesting and detailed explanation of a flower I have never seen. The blue color is vibrant and lovely. You have captured small details in the blossoms, and your depth of field is very well done. Amazing what you can do with manual settings compared to auto. Outstanding effort.

Welcome to the group Shirley and thank you so much for having a look at my new piece....and for the lovely review you've given it. I think people should NOT be afraid of manual settings you know. Honestly, there is so much more that can be done w/ your camera using manual settings. Everyone should try.

Love the dark blue; they look like a bunch of horns sounding off; good rich green grass as a background; nice focus on the flowers; good depth; a bit of yellow I think; you got quite a garden; take care.
