This is a wonderful shot of the bird in flight! Yes. I can see the those rust spots! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

This is very nice! I love the way you can see the detail in the beautiful wings! The focus is spot on! The colors are great! The lighting is very nice! Great stop action on the bird! The only thing keeping this from a six for me is that I would like to have seen the birds face a little bit but we all know sometimes they just don't cooperate! This is overall a beautiful shot and thanks for sharing! Lori

Very well photographed with beautiful natural light and sharp focus and good details on their beautiful wings and feathers. Good artists notes and nice storytelling with your image. The plumage of the female Red Wing Blackbird is certainly rather subdued looking in comparison to the striking coloration that adorns the males,isn't it?
But regardless of that I'm very much enjoying this interesting and pleasantly Out of the Ordinary picture that you've presented us with! : )
Happily it ISN'T 'a typical bird post' and you've acheived your goal of showing us the 'blushes' of rust color on her outstretched wings enjoyably well! : )
