yes i do and a lot. it is a sensitive and emotional picture. the way it is looking over the shoulder, is like saying goodbye. your colours and nature work is really lovely and touching. yes colour is a really strong feature. like a bush made from a fine claret..

The forest is perfect with the bright colors of the leaves; the greens of the trees; and the underbrush. It is plain that the road ahead is open. The stag could use a little work on the back legs, but has a rack to die for. It is a delightful painting. Thank you for sharing.

Cute creation in diminishing perspective.
Vanishing viewpoint creates greater depth.
Subtle colors.
Subdued illumination.
Muted hues.
Best of luck in the contest!

Thanks for sharing...

A nice balance of colour, forest, path, sky and rocks. a good choice adding a deer to draw the eye. I think he is a little lost though - the path draws my eye to the horizon and perhaps the deer would have been better at the end of the path somehow. There is however a lovely subtle touch to the deer that I find enchanting- the whole piece is soft and relaxing - you have avoided the strong contrasts often found when light comes through the trees in the forest. I like the dappled light effect. Well done.

This is so lovely!!! I like that not all of the trees are straight, but lend to the right a little. I like the different bushes too! This is
so great! Thanks for sharing. . . .

Just lovely! The emotion this renders is so touching. The way you painted the stag is majestic yet he is very humble and tender. The red leaves really adds a pop of color and the rocks details are perfect. A beautiful piece and very well done!

Too cute! I love his look back with his nice full rack on his head.
Great colors, beautiful light highlights and lovely view of his Natural environment.
I especially like the tall Birch trees reaching for the sky.
Nice work Linda ;)

Lovely, Linda. I am always impressed with your pastel work. You do such a great job achieving depth and texture and light; all truly evident here. There is story here too as the stag looks back. Is it beckoning us to follow or worrying about is being left behind? Very well done and a great contest entry. Good luck.
