I like the way you accented these Calla lilies with the dark background. It really places the focus on the flowers at first look. They have a natural look of softness to them which gives a somewhat mystical look. The green leaves are wonderful framing elements. Great entry for the contest. Best of luck in the voting ~ Steve

The dark backgrou8nd indeed ensures the center stage of the flowers. The colors work well together. I like that the outside of the blossoms is clearly descended from the inner blossoms where the colors nicely melt into each other accentuated by the yellow anther. The green leaves are a great natural framing.

Justice was definitely done to these calla lilies. The colors are wonderful and the foliage just right. The lack of background was a stroke of genius on the part of the artist as it accomplished exactly what was wanted.

Yes, you definitely did these beautiful flowers justice. In every brush stroke I see a desire to bring the ethereal to life.
Thank goodness you didn't make the background absolute black - that would have been to much. The varying tones of near black enhance the main elements.
You have an generous amount of fine detail - your vision is sharp.
Colors are natural in appearance not forced.
Well centered for optimum eye candy.

Your details and proportions are good and clearly define a Calla with her grace and beauty in shape.
Your blending of color tones is perfect..especially on the peach blossoms and their centers. The leaves make me feel movement as they catch the reflections from the light in a defined way.
