Be this little guy was happy to be free of the Starlings for a few minutes too Susan.
He's a plumb healthy looking little guy and you've presented him very nicely. Nice, natural color....best little sparkle in his eye and your image is well exposed. Nicely done!

Deborah,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tiny Coal Tit after taking a drink for the water bowl that the Squirrel manage to break the night before last!

Oh no Susan....so this water bowl is a goner now?? Those squirrels can be a real pain in the ass can't they? You are very welcome for the review and sorry about your water bowl.....
-
Deborah,
It's replaceable & not to expensive just a Pyrex/Corningware Pie Dish.
I seldom see the squirrels as a rule but of late we've had both Squirrels & Foxes in the back gardens...Maybe it was escaping from the Fox??

LOL could be Susan. Comanche chases both the squirrels and the foxes around here. As a matter of fact she chases the birds too....lol A tad territorial she is I'm afraid. Very welcome for the review.

You are so very lucky. They are so hard to catch. I have been trying to get a coal tit on camera for the last few months and they still allude me. Good sharpness, contrast and composition here. Like the background blurring and drop of water on beak. Well done.

Jo,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this rapidly moving Coal Tit...in the last ten years I've only got about four shots with the whole bird in the frame...to often I get a head or a tail only.

Apparently the bird got thirsty after his feast and got a drink from the bird bath. There is a water drop still on its beak. I see defined details. There is no trace that the photo was shot through the window glass. I appreciate the realistic colors.

Nice one, Susan. You really know your birds. I like the details that you have captured in the bird, especially his feathers. The framing and composition work very well, as the bird clings to the horizontal structure. Nice depth of field with the background which helps accentuate the subject.

Karen,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tiny Coal Tit perched on the Pyrex/Corning ware pie dish I use for a Bird's drinking bowl/bath. The Coal tit is one of our most common Garden Birds in these Islands.

This is a very cute little bird and your timing is great to get him sitting still. I like the little water droplet on his beak and how well his markings stand out.

Grace,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tiny Coal Tit, sitting still for a change. Normally they flit about so fast it's neigh impossible to capture one at all.

Your timing was really good when this photo was taken Susan, and the little tit is posing for you in such a lovely way. It is also standing out from the nicely blurred background in an excellent way.
Your photo of this little beauty is truly sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen. I also think the exposure is spot on.
The cropping is well done, and the bird has got such a good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.
