I like the free expression of your cafe sketches and how you mix your own flesh tones as they are more pleasing than the stuff pre mixed. You create good details and expressions The conversation between the two figures is so typical of what one would observe at a cafe.

thank you Linda, flesh tones are a difficulty. Unless heavily made up, we all have patches from pink to green! I generally add my own wrinkles to everything. When I see these beautifully clear works, I determine, next time, but it never happens, though I did have a period when I painted much more simply, must show them some time to my fan-friends.

Love your quick sketch of this man. He has an interesting expression on his face which you have captured well. I like the composition and the angle that you used where you only see the second man's face partially. It's a wonderful work like all the rest of them ar.

thank you, Dale they WERE talking, there were lots of little tables in the University cafe and they would come and buy a drink and a bun and chat, also it was very interesting to note how they behaved with each other, as different national groups and even within nations, they behaved differently not only to the outside, but towards each other. There was a north german group of Prussians and you could not prise them apart if you used a chisel .. oh well, all my chisels for my wood work have been stolen from my home and all my gardening tools.
