What a lovely close up of this Monach butterfly. Like the composition and the clarity/ sharpness is wonderful. The black is so striking against the yellows and whites. Very nicely done.

A beautiful picture of this Monarch butterfly alighted on the grass seed head, it's wings closed so we can see the underside of it's wings are as beautiful as the upper side though the colours are more subdued.The polka dots ringing it's wings are also present on it's thorax. It's curled up proboscis is clear to see along with it's eye, antennae & front two legs on it's right hand side. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
