Linda!
This rocks! I am so loving your water colors. I think you have found your niche. Not that I do not love your pastels, but these are super fabulous.
I think the medium well suits your eye and subjects.
Nice!

I love the delicate nature of this lovely watercolour painting, Linda. You have excellent detail in the Poppies and seed heads and I love how you've done the shading in the petals. Great use of colours. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Your details along with you blending and shading of color is incredible. Your play with light and shadows has created depth and interest in your work. really a beautiful presentation. you can see such great features on show in this picture. the blooms are lovely and a subject of poppies, you have such a good grasp on. lovely booms and also showing them in all three stages, is a wonderful and magical touch.

I know what you mean about mastering watercolour. Sometimes they lack colour and then quite often I add too much colour and it no longer looks like a watercolour. I tend to use the tubes of ready mixed watercolour paint I find these a stronger colour than blocks. The colours you have chosen here are good and a lot more visible than some of your earlier pieces. Keep persisting.

ah, the poppies of the Pusta. When I came to England, we lived in a refugee camp, which comprised of black tar nissen huts. My mother used to grow poppies around it, in all colours /for poppy cake/ we were unbelievably poor back then. She used to tell me: Fekete's are like the poppies in the Pusta, so numerous.Later I found out the reason.
