Very interesting composition. The dragonfly and reflection with just a little bit of ripples in the water create enough detail to make a great photo without having so much that there are distractions. Focus and depth of field are good. The overall color and lighting are very good.

I love Dragonflies 1 I love the deception here I actually thought there were two Dragonflies ! It looked like a WW1 dogfight. The one thing I think this photo needs is more color . It is just too grey for me.

Thank you! I can see from your colorful portfolio why this would be too grey for you! Sometimes though, nature is monochromatic :)

A wonderful capture here, very good stop action on this fast moving dragon fly, love the details and textures not just it the dragonfly but also it's reflection, like the ripples in the water, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

Wow at first I thought there were two! Beautiful capture of this blue dasher over the water and it's near perfect reflection.
The image has a wonderful cool tone that is soothing and a real pleasure to see.

Grace,
A beautiful picture of the Blue Dasher in flight over the water that is reflecting the sky above & the Blue Dasher itself. Beautiful composition framing & natural lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I know nothing of these but they seem to spend a long time underwater and only a brief time above it! Your nice image is well composed, sharp and has good exposure. Nicely done!

This photo is a tremendous catch. To be able to see the dragonfly and the reflection of the dragonfly was exceptional timing. The focus is right on, the colors are wonderful and the subject is just were it should be. Well done!

Oh what a cool capture Grace. I know how difficult it is to capture the image of a dragonfly in flight, but to get the reflection also is such a special bonus. Great artists notes about the life cycle. Well done Grace ~ Steve

Thank you Steve! It was a challenge, but I finally managed to get what I was aiming for, lol :)

Thank you for your informative artist notes. I learn so much from you, Eileen, and Sange. I love the reflections you captured in the water. One gets the sense of sky only from the reflections on the surface.
