WOW! I LOVE this shot. I saw my first Sandhill Cranes in Yellowstone this May and immediately fell in love with them. They are such interesting birds. This shot with parents and 2 juveniles is just fantastic. Your stop action caught them all in mid step which is just great. Really lovely shot!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the extra star for this one :) This is the first year I have seen them in person too so I know that thrill! I think they are pretty cool birds and I am so happy that this couple (who mate for life) have two babies :)

Great nature shot! These sand hill cranes make me smile, almost giggle, because of their gangly appearance I suppose. Nice that both survived and thanks for your artist notes on that. Well focused and composed.

Great capture of this Sandhill family. yes it is unusual that both make it and this is a great testament to how Mother Nature always knows what to do for the benefit of all. Nice "Family" portrait Grace. Looking forward to more as you record the Family progress ~ Steve

Nice shot of the family. I didn't realize it took them that long to be able to fly. That might explain the survival rate. Good action shot. The color is good and you can really see the difference between the adults and the youngun's. Well done.

Very cool. I really miss seeing the Sandhill's. Where I live now we don't have them. You have captured a great shot of this group high stepping it along. Sharp focus and no distracting clutter around the background. Thanks for the memories.
