Thank you for your interesting notes explaining why these towers were built. I love the light in this shot as the sun disappears over the horizon, leaving a pinkish purple glow in the sky and reflecting in the sea, which makes it a very fitting entry for the contest. I like the angle you used for this. Very good lighting and focus showing a lovely clear image. Lovely composition. Suzanne

A beautiful sunset picture of the Parata Genoese Tower in silhouette on the Sanguinaires Islands off Corsica the sun glowing through the clouds it has coloured in shades of gold & pink below & through the purple tinted clouds floating overhead in the still blue sky these beautiful colours reflected on the glistening sea. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A beautiful scene Fred. The colors are really brought out with the camera settings. Details and focus are sharp. The light reflecting off the water contrasts nicely with the dark land. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve
