Nice shot evoking a bygone era, very nostalgic.

I like the fine focus and detail in the tractor. Your technique was spot on. Good exposure and depth of field.

I see the hand crank to get the motor started. I think those were pretty dangerous if you got a kickback when the engine failed to start.

Nice shot and thanks for sharing.

Such a cool subject. I love the vantage point you chose. It really makes the tractor dramatic in its presence. The rusty orange contrasts nicely against the neutral tones of the background.

Camera settings are well established and have produced a high resolution image of good contrast, color and tonal range.

Color range is narrow but all colors are rich and lush and complement each other very well.

Visual impact is good, but I wonder if perhaps a little less cropping and more of the surroundings might push the narrative.

Nice ol' rust bucket ... B-)) Bob

Yes, it does look as tough this one has been around for a long, long time and done many jobs! Your full and angled composition grants us a very enjoyable look at it. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Great photo!

A rare find!
Sharply focused.
Fine features & textures.
An interesting initial impact.
Could have been a good entry to the Rusty Subject comp.

Bright lighting.
Tad tight on top...
Compact framing.
Good low perspective & long depth of field...

This old guy is rustic and rusty. It adds a nice spot of warm color to a grayish scene. I cannot help but wonder what tales could be told about the life of this tractor. To whom did it belong? Whom did it help? How did it come to be abandoned? We can only speculate.

What a great old tractor, rust and all. And, I bet it still runs. Good composition that shows off the entire vehicle. Good colors in the tractor. Nice sharp focus showing all od the details. Well found.

You should take a picture of the old vehicle in the pond at chip na. Or the ghost on the wall. That was quite amusing. This is a really nice image, Pat. Your post-processing really brought up The Rustic look. Very well done.

Thank you so much Paul, I was just in Chitna in June and didn?t see a car in the pond, I will possibly go back there and I?ll see if I can find it! Did you go back to McCarthy and the Kennicott mine?
