Coyote on a park path

What an interesting scene to see a coyote along a park path. I've been told that they do come out on occasion and this is a nice capture of one.
Great shot since it looks like it was in motion. Pleasure to see! This one looks rather large.

Grace,
A beautiful picture of this Coyote running along the path eyes fixed ahead of it & ears pricked standing out well from the dark background vegetation & the grass. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

It is a well focused photo of a coyote trotting across an open space. It is a nice catch of an animal that has become very well adapted to living among humans. The best part of this photo is that there is no sign of blurring because of the movement of the animal. Well done. Thank you for sharing.

What a find Grace.

I have no inkling what I would do if I ran into one.

This one is great with the stop action of what looks like a fast walk.

Colors are perfect.

Thank you! I guess the one thing you are not supposed to do is turn your back on them. I've read that waving your arms and talking loudly at them is supposed to get them moving away from you. Not sure that would be my first reaction! I was fortunate enough that he was not moving in my direction so i didn't have to worry too much :)

The coyote seems running. If i see right the animal has three of it feet in the air. A real "Brother Lightfoot" from the old folktales it seems. It is an interesting capture anyway. The photo has nice natural color, is well balanced and sufficiently framed.

Thank your nice comments. I think he does have three feet off the ground, the third just barely, I got him in mid stride :) I think Brother Lightfoot would have been such a good title!!

Being a Brit I know nothing about coyotes. Are they dangerous to people? Your enjoyable photo is well composed, sharp and has good exposure. Nicely taken!

Thank you Nik! They can be dangerous to people but for the most part they try to avoid them. They will attack small dogs and cats in people's yards though, so they are dangerous to have hanging around in the neighborhood.

Nice stop action shot, well focused, clear image, well exposed, colors and tones appear natural. Coyotes will usually run if they see people. They are beautiful animals! This is well composed and presented!

A nice photo. The thing I like about it is that it softens the dastardly vision we often have of the Coyote. I think that the color of the Coyote could be a bit brighter to stand out from the green.

He is a beauty and looks rather healthy. My daughter is having problems with them in her neighborhood abutting I-75 as the pythons have dessimated the small prey population in the Everglades so the coyotes are coming into neigborhoods on the hunt for food. They are attacking the feral cats.

That is so sad for pet owners!! I now they will go after smaller dogs too. Scary!
