What a feast of clear colors! This all goes together like a painting would. I like the contrast between the modern artsy dog and testament to the ages further off. This is like a testament to time photo... Daphne Oberon

Personally, I like both the dog and the harbour! Wonder why it was put there and what if anything is commemorates? Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

A wonderful photo composition wise, with great clarity and long DOF captured at a good time of day to cast light on the buildings in the harbour, with neat intricacy and detail that expresses the height and shape of the architecture well. As for the dog - It's cosmetic, I think it's great so subjectively a good addition. Adversely, from your (subjective) angle, it is out of place and although well made, I can see the detriment it can create to the surroundings. A great photo either way Fred, good work :)

Wonder what was in the concerned authorities mind which made them commission this work. Very unusual to find a dog statue in a port! Good observation. Good shot. This has something to think about! Thanks for sharing!

Yes it does spoil the spoil fred,so not sure why you took it,it was quite easy to get the view without it,we have simiiar statues fromm time to time in Norwich uk around the town,at the moment there are hares.
They are artistic and clever use of art,so easy to get a photo of them on there own in there own right, maybe you feel that its in the wrong place in honfleur and you are just making a point on that,if so fair enough.like your thoughts on this photo...Brian

This is an interesting photo. I like the contrast ! I love the classic harbor shot but the colorful dog statue in the foreground helps to establish a sense of depth and distance and that no matter what modernization sooner or later enters our corner of the world !
