I love mandalas, and this is beautiful and peaceful. Great use of colour and light, good choice of background colour. A real feast for the soul.

I really like the idea of standing on the stars. And of course Heaven would be above them. The rays of yellow light are nicely done. The colors are bright and cheerful and go so well together. It is reminiscent of some Native American art.

This is a nicely designed piece of work .It looks like a mandala. The colors are traditional for that whole Aztec or Mayan period. I think what would have been really neat is to have made it look like tiles still a nice piece

This is quite stunning with its red, yellow and turquoise colors. The empower looks very regal and almost god like in the style of the Egyptians. This would make a lovely flag or interesting blank note card.

Thank you very much! This is supposed to suggest ancient Toltec, but to this day the warrior-type of some of their neighbors to the south, the Maya, also look Egyptian, only they are dark skinned. I was dismayed by that statuesque beauty of these individuals when I lived in Guatemala. Several million were massacred in the 19790's and 1980's by evangelist dictator, Rios Mont, and others so that big American business interests could invest in gold mining on their land... One race of farming Indians have been completely obliterated. The same old story.... I am glad you enjoyed my Mandala! Daphne Oberon

I really enjoy this piece, frankly I enjoy anything with a mexican/ latin american flavor. I don't know if it was intentional, but I like how the rays of the sun interact with the figure's shoulders to suggest wings. Also, lovely color combinations.

This reminds me of an Artistic plate that could be on display at a museum of ancient artifacts. Beautifully detailed work, I happen to love how her socks and sash seem to have a sparkle from gold. Beautiful work, best wishes in the contest.
